Spectrum Matters provides ABA services for children on the autism spectrum and other related disorders in the South Dakota area. We provide you with the knowledge and strategies that meet the individual’s potential to live their best lives possible.

Located in South Dakota, our comprehensive team works together to fit the needs of the family and the individual touched by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Our Story

Spectrum Matters was born from a mother’s personal journey and a passion for ensuring that every child has access to meaningful, effective support.

Our story began when our CEO, Darcy, and her son, Easton, received an autism diagnosis. Through her own experience navigating the world of autism services, Darcy recognized the importance of giving families a choice in their child’s treatment and care. She believed families deserved access to individualized services that recognized their child’s unique strengths, needs, and goals.

In 2019, when children across South Dakota faced changes and challenges in accessing coverage for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, Darcy joined with other parents and advocates to fight for improved access to ABA services. This experience became a driving force behind the creation of Spectrum Matters and continues to shape our mission today.

At Spectrum Matters, we believe every child matters. We are committed to providing individualized, compassionate ABA therapy designed around each child—not a one-size-fits-all approach. Our goal is to help children develop meaningful skills that promote greater independence, communication, confidence, and participation in their families and communities.

Services Designed Around Your Child

Spectrum Matters provides ABA services in a variety of settings, including the home, community, school, and our center, allowing therapy to take place where skills are most meaningful and functional.

Our highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) work collaboratively with children and their families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

We understand that no two children are exactly alike. That is why we take the time to understand each child, partner with their family, and create services that are individualized, meaningful, and focused on helping each child learn, grow, and thrive.

At Spectrum Matters, our name reflects what we believe: every child on the spectrum matters, every family deserves a choice, and every child deserves the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.

We work with children ages 0-18.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to give parents a choice in effective Applied Behavior Analysis services in South Dakota. We want to teach each and every client to learn and grow as much as possible so they can live happy, and be engaged members of their community when they are adults.

We provide high quality therapy services with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) supervised by BCBA’s. Our staff has frequent trainings and in-services to stay up to date on research. We will collect and analyze data for each child to make sure they are making progress and their experience is successful.
